Colour is better defined when it is opposed to another.
When confronting works of art in an exhibition questions emerge to both painting, drawing and photography.
For this exhibition, the gallery lends works by the German artist Hanns Schimansky, recently presented at the gallery for his fouth solo show, entitled L’espace de la ligne.
The drawings by Hanns Schimansky include inks on paper with vivid tones and variable rhythms. Their spatial and infinite possibilities reveal an immense expressive freedom.
