A meeting with artist Susumu Shingu and director of heritage and cultural programme of Chambord, Yannick Mercoyrol, is organized to support the exhibition “Susumu Shingu, a Contemporary Utopia”. Yannick Mercoyrol is the curator of the exhibition taking place at Domaine national de Chambord on October 6 until March 15, 2020. The crucial question of utopia in the work of Shingu will be broached at the meeting, as well as the stirring analogies between his creative practice and that of Leonardo da Vinci and the process of “visualising” inherent in his work. From poetical evocation to a rigorous practice, the discussion will highlight the different aspects of Shingu’s project, celebrating a world of serene energy.
