Alberto Giacometti’s two sculptures Tête qui regarde and Tête were presented in May 1929 along with Massimo Campigli’s works. This first exhibition made a splash among artists and writers. Pierre Loeb seized the occasion to sign a contract with the Swiss artist that deprived Jeanne Bucher of the legitimate credit for her discovery.
