The Fondation Nationale des Musées in collaboration with the Arpad Szenes – Vieira da Silva Foundation is organizing the exhibition “Maria Helena Vieira da Silva and Arpad Szenes. A story of love and painting”, from October 18, 2023 to February 15, 2024, at the Mohammed VI Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art in Rabat.

The selected works include over 90 paintings from the collection of the Arpad Szenes – Vieira da Silva Foundation, on display at the Lisbon museum, as well as from the Millennium bcp Foundation, the Lisbon Metropolitan Museum and other private collections.

The exhibition provides an overview of the importance of these two artists in the context of twentieth-century contemporary art, and in particular of the École de Paris to which they both belonged.
