Two immense Abakan of 3 meters diameter, tapestry-sculptures in sisal were presented at the gallery in 1978 in the exhibition dedicated to feminine creation “L’Espace en Demeure” along with works by Nevelson and Vieira da Silva. The sculpture Abakan Grand Noir (1967-68) joined the collection of the MNAM following this presentation.
