From December 15, 2016 to March 12, 2017, the Hôtel Gouïn showcases an exhibition of the painter and gardener André Bauchant. Born in Tours, the Naive artist was passionate about the region of Tours, and the exhibition presents a selection of his paintings, which depict his unique interpretation of the landscape and its inhabitants. The painterly universe of André Bauchant is an imaginary world, and more than 3000 paintings is attributed to the prolific artist

In 1928, Jeanne Bucher organized the first solo show of André Bauchant, presenting thereafter his works regularly. A commitment which opens the doors for André Bauchant to prestigious private collections both in Europe and internationnally.
