Homage to Michael Biberstein

Michael Biberstein

Marais Space

The gallery is greatly saddened to announce the death of its artist Michael Biberstein. The show presents a retrospective of his work as a tribute to this great artist.

His relentless creation focused on landscape, not a real landscape but one found in the spirit, where a man’s quest for the meaning of his existence and his deeper self, placed us in front of a “Resonance of Silence” (title of his last exhibition at the gallery). The chromatic breathing of his paintings as well as their relation to Physical phenomena increased our sensorial experience as much by universal space that overtakes us than the intimate space which contains us. What rational intelligence does not accept any longer, said the artist, painting admits it the same way as music, for example, since borders are abolished.
