In connexion with the unveiling of the Ceiling of Santa Isabel Church in Lisbonne painted by Michael Biberstein, the Foundation Árpád Szenes – Vieira da Silva, organises a presentation of the artist’s studies for the ceiling in collaboration with the gallery. This presentation also features works on paper and the model of Santa Isabel Church with Michael Biberstein’s painting, realized by Appleton and Domingos Arquitectos.

As a tribute to Michael Biberstein, the film « O Meu Amigo Mike ao Trabalho » directed by Fernando Lopes will be screened during this presentation. Produced by Midas Filmes in 2008, the film is one of Fernando Lopes’ latest films and was shoot in Biberstein’s studio in Alandroal, where he had been living since the 1970s.
