Australian patron John Power studied at the Académie Moderne of Fernand Léger in the 1920s, then became close to the “Abstraction – Création” group in the early 1930s. His collaboration with the gallery started with the 1932 publication of “Éléments de la construction picturale” by Antoine Roche, a close friend of Jeanne Bucher. It continued with an exhibition of his paintings on canvas and glass in December 1938.
