“Archaeology of the present: works from the Illidio Pinho Foundation collection” curated by Miguel Von Haffe Perez, City of Aveiro in the University Campus, Portugal

As part of its 50th anniversary celebrations, Universidade de Aveiro hosted “Archaeology of the time”, a contemporary art exhibition that uses the concepts of daring and freedom to show the public the richness of Portuguese art in recent decades.

This exhibition includes works by such big names as Ângelo de Sousa, Julião Sarmento and João Maria Gusmão. They are joined by works by Alice Geirinhas, Bruno Pacheco, Carla Filipe, Isabel Carvalho, Luís Nobre, Luís Palma, Pedro Paiva, Rui Moreira, Rui Sanches and Susanne Themlitz.

The exhibition can be seen until April 14th, from Monday to Friday between 9:30am and 5:30pm in the Aveiro Bookstore Gallery, and from Monday to Saturday between 10am and 8pm in the Hélène de Beauvoir room (located in the Library) and in the atrium of the Central and Rectorate Building.
