From November to February 2014, the Gallery celebrated Jean-François Jaeger’s 90th anniversary with a major exhibition entitled “Matter and Memory. The Patriarch’s Realm.”, in the two Parisian spaces of the gallery. Following this event, the Museum of Gajac in the town of Villeneuve-sur-Lot has decided to honour 45 years of friendship and collaboration with the Gallery with a show entitled “A Passion for the Arts: Jean-François Jaeger and the gallery Jeanne-Bucher”.

From June 20 to October 26, this exceptional show will showcase works by important artists – from prestigious public and private collections. Artists such as: Nicolas de Staël,  Jean Dubuffet, Maria Helena da Silva, Fermin Aguayo, Louise Nevelson, Wilfrid Moser, Paul Rebeyrolle, Yang Jiechang and Fabienne Verdier have marked the career of Jean-François Jaeger from 1947 to nowadays.

Roger Bissière and Hans Reichel will both have a room dedicated to their work. The two artist’s close collaboration with the town of Villeneuve sur Lot harks back to the Biennales of the years 1969 and 1971. The museum will also dedicate an entire exhibition room to all the important editions the gallery has produced since 1947.
