Formes Simples

Fabienne Verdier

Centre Pompidou-Metz

In the scope of a large exhibition produced by the Centre Pompidou-Metz and the Fondation d’Entreprise Hermès, conceived to explore the history of the appearance of simple forms in the worlds of art, nature and tools, the curators have selected a work by Fabienne Verdier from the Hubert Looser Collection to be shown in the first gallery, entitled “Avant la forme” (“Before form”), introducing a principle characterizing simple forms: the state of transformation of the latent form into matter, still in metamorphosis and movement.
