Francis Picabia’s work was shown twice in the 1930s. The first exhibition at the gallery in 1931 displayed original watercolors composed as illustrations for “Le peseur d’Âmes” of André Maurois. The second, at the boulevard du Montparnasse gallery in 1936, showed large-format pictures that demonstrated, thanks to the process of double exposure, the influence of Picasso, combined with the photography of the era.
