Introduced to Jeanne Bucher by Christian Zervos in 1932, Kandinsky had the first of his four exhibitions at the gallery in December 1936. The Russian artist, a very close friend of Jeanne Bucher, was exhibited three times between 1939 and 1944, and used to say about her: “The other dealers are black crows. She is a seagull, for she is all white, all pure.
